Why you should watch ‘Salmon Confidential’
Salmon Facts are Sacred, Oct. 9, 2013
By Grant Warkentin, Communications Officer,
Mainstream Canada, October 4, 2013
If you have more than a passing interest in salmon farming, you should watch the film ‘Salmon Confidential.’
Not because it’s a good film.
Not because it has anything new or revelatory to say about salmon farming.
But because it shows how activists are willing and desperate enough to stretch the truth to the breaking point in order to sell their messages of fear and doom.

Who are these people anyway?
Salmon Facts are Sacred, April 27, 2013
…The tone of that simple question changes dramatically, depending on where you put the emphasis . In the case of the people behind the “Salmon Confidential” film, we have to say it this way: Who ARE these people anyway? With an incredulous, exasperated tone.

Salmon Confidential Exposed Blog Postings:

Awwk! Pieces of virus!
Back in May Morton must have been irritated enough by my blog that she deigned to address my criticisms, one by one, in an epic blog post. I was hoping for a bit of humility on her part, or at least a reasonable explanation. Sadly, neither were present...

...Once again, Morton is wrong and caught in lies about ISA in BC, as well as showing how she is ignorant of how these tests actually work.
But she knows just enough to try and trick people into believing whatever she says, and parroting it across the Internet.

Protestings the Protesters
Bullies Pretending to be Journalists.
Protesting the Protesters, April 27, 2013
...Alexandra Morton and Twyla Roscovich have produced and filmed “Salmon Confidential.” ...This film is biased from start to finish. It does not try to show both sides of the issue and let the viewer make up their own mind about salmon farming in B.C. Instead it is an hour and nine minutes worth of propaganda whose sole purpose is to call people to action against an industry. This is a call to bully government into ignoring any science except that posed by this group.

Salmon Confidential, a fish out of water
by Paul T, Canadian Content, June 6, 2013
...This review will follow the science of fish health in the documentary chronologically, and I'll finish with some more high level discussion points that I think run through the debate between the activists and the farm supporters. The film features edited content from many familiar names in the debate: Alexandra Morton, Dr. Rick Routledge, Dr. Gary Marty, Dr. Kristi Miller, Dr. Fred Kibenge, and many others. I won't really comment on the filmography of the piece, though obviously that contributes to the flavour one might take from the film...

Salmon Confidential – A fictional documentary
Salmon Facts are Sacred, Oct. 9, 2013
If you enjoy film documentaries that include dubious editing, court testimony manipulation, character assassination, misrepresented lab reports and omission of vital facts about wild salmon migration and fish health, then please watch Salmon Confidential at VIFF.
But if you still enjoy a balanced and fair approach to movie making, then maybe skip it.

Yes, Alexandra Morton, I do work for a salmon farming company
Response wasn't complete,  Ian Roberts, Courier-Islander May 17, 2013
It is unfortunate that Alexandra Morton's response to my serious concerns about errors and omissions in her documentary film about salmon farming only questions my ethics and principles ("Tools of the trade", May 8). I would have hoped that a response would have answered my specific concerns.

Alexandra Morton repeats her completely fictional story
War of the Worlds Ian Roberts, Courier-Islander, April 19, 2013
... This conclusion - from a two-year, $26 million scientific Inquiry and the expert testimony of numerous fish health professionals and biologists - did not sit well with Alexandra Morton.
So, her story is repeated again in this one hour movie. The difference this time is; her story goes unchallenged. Add some dubious editing, testimony manipulation, character assassination, misrepresented lab reports and omission of vital facts about salmon migration and fish health, and you have a very compelling yet completely fictional story.

Salmon Confidential column was outdated and incorrect
 Odd Grydeland, Courier-Islander, Wednesday, April 10, 2013
As the old saying goes - Sometimes it is better to keep silent and let people think you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove any doubt.
And so it is with Ray Grigg's latest special to the Courier-Islander (Salmon Confidential, April 3) where he blindly brags about the latest blur from the Alexandra Morton camp - this time a series of outdated and/or erroneous video clips put together in another feeble attempt to discredit the province's $800 million salmon farming industry, which was recently found not to have a significant negative effect on wild salmon by the $26 million Cohen Commission inquiry - the latest of many which all came to the same conclusion. Ms. Morton participated in this latest study.

BC Salmon farmers frustrated by misinformation
Odd Grydeland, FishfarmingXpert, April 4, 2013
More rhetoric is being produced by anti- salmon farming activists in the run-up to a Provincial election in May
Just in time to influence some fickle voters, a new video is released, containing the usual collection of clips telling the world that wild salmon in British Columbia and elsewhere is doomed.

Salmon Confidential
By Mary Ellen Walling, Courier-Islander April 3, 2013
... "How does it make you feel?" has been the key question from a few reporters recently, regarding the film Salmon Confidential, produced by Twyla Roscovich and featuring the fluid hypothesis of Alexandra Morton.
Our response is one word: frustrated. Frustrated that such misinformation is being circulated, that the filmmakers are intentionally trying to confuse the public, and that such disrespect can be shown to true experts in fish health and environmental management.
