Well it seems like the folks over at Salmon are Sacred need a short course on marine invertebrates.
Case in point: Robert Mountain expresses concern that fish near his hometown are being eaten alive within 2 hours – but only at locations near salmon farms.
Robert, we can guarantee you this has nothing to do with naturally occurring sea lice (Lepeophtheirus and Caligus species) that are found on wild fish and farmed fish.
What you are actually seeing are other sea critters; amphipods (sea fleas or beach hoppers) or scavenging isopods. Neither amphipods nor isopods are related or connected to farm-raised salmon...

Howard Breen and Roger Chin of Salmon are Sacred express concerns about the diet of farmed fish. They think fish are fed a diet of bovine (ungulates such as cows and buffalo) and “other livestock brains” and therefore consumers of farm-raised salmon may be a risk of “mad cow disease”.
Well, good news everyone, there are no cow parts of any kind used in salmon feed...
